EPODE in Europe

All EPODE programmes are based and adapted from the same methodology.

To Date, the EPODE initiative currently extends to 293 European cities and towns - 226 in France (EPODE), 38 in Spain (THAO), 16 in Belgium (VIASANO), 13 in Greece (PAIDEIATROFI) and involves over 4 million inhabitants.

This section will give you some information about each of these programmes.

EPODE in France

From 10 pilot towns and a coordination team set up in 2004, the programme now extends to more than 1,5 million inhabitants in 226 towns.


VIASANO in Belgium


The VIASANO programme was set up in 2006 and launched in 2 pilot towns, and now extends to 16 towns across the Dutch, French and German-speaking communities.


THAO in Spain

The THAO Salud Infantil programme was set up in 2006 and launched in 5 pilot towns, and now extends to more than 30 towns including most recently the city of Seville.


PAIDEIATROFI in Greece


The EPODE methodology is also currently being adapted and was launched to 5 pilot cities in Greece. The National Coordination Team is set up in Athens.
